SR. ROSE T. VERMETTE'S GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION
October 12 saw us gathering one more time to celebrate with our third golden jubilarian of this year. Sr. Rose T. Vermette, assistant to our president and director of our Marydell Faith and Life Center has spent thirty of her fifty years with the Community serving in South Carolina and Florida. From 1992-99 she was director of the RCIA program for the Archdiocese of New York, a ministry, she admits, is probably her first love. This love was evident during the liturgy of her renewal of vows. Sister intertwined the ritual of RCIA into the liturgy clearly connecting her call as a religious to her first call as a baptized Christian. A deeply reflective person, Sister is aware of her life as one continuous knitting by God. In her own words, "My heart is filled with gratitude to God and to so many people who are partners with God in knitting me together."
