SR. EILEEN O'FARRELL'S GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION
On March 23, 2002 the Sisters of Our Lady of Christian Doctrine had the joy of celebrating
fifty years of consecration of one of its members. Sr. Eileen O'Farrell, RCD was
born in England and came to the United States in 1949. In the Fall of 1951 she made a retreat
at Marydell in Nyack, NY and on the following March she was accepted into the community.
In these fifty years Sister has served in New York, Florida, New Hampshire, South Carolina
and for the past 30 years in St. Joan of Arc parish in Sloatsburg, NY. Anyone who knows Sr. Eileen
knows the cheerful smile with which she always greets everyone. This dedicated woman has spent
fifty years generously giving of her many talents. We know this generous giving will continue
in the years of ministry still left to her.
